Presidential Search

The Ï㽶´«Ã½ board of trustees has announced the formation of a presidential search committee to lead the search for the 13th president of Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Presidential Search Committee — appointed by Board of Trustees Chair Madeleine Dassow — features 17 members of the LR community and includes board members, alumni, faculty, staff and student representatives.

The committee will be assisted in the search by Coleman Lew Canny Bowen, an executive search firm with offices in Charlotte, North Carolina, and New York City. Together, we will seek a dynamic and visionary leader to continue advancing LR's mission and values.

We value the insights and contributions of the entire university community. As part of the search process, we invite all members of the Lenoir-Rhyne community to complete the or to share input and thoughts on the qualities, experiences and priorities you believe are most important in our next president. Your feedback will help guide the committee and the search firm as we identify the right leader for our institution.

Regular updates will be provided throughout the search process to keep the community informed. We look forward to your participation and engagement as we undertake this significant step in Lenoir-Rhyne’s future.

Ï㽶´«Ã½ President Dr. Fred Whitt announced in August that he will retire at the end of the 2024-25 academic year, ending what will be 50 years of a distinguished career in higher education.
