Since 1978 Pere Sangenís and Conxita Vaqué are making wines in Porrera, combining the tradition with the new ways. Today María and Núria Sangenís, their two daughters, have also joined the team who, alongside Pere, share the responsibility of producing the great wines.
The vineyards are located in the district of Porrera, in the family owned lands since before 1700, within the Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin, on terraced hillsides, formed by the famous “llicorella” (slaty schist land). Very poor land combined with a dry climate ( 550 mm) provides minimal production and therefore maximum quality.
Tasting Notes: A very classy wine with a good intensity of red fruits and spices with mineral soft tones. Well integrated oak with sweet tannins and a persistent finish.
