Description
The predominant grape of this barrel-aged white is Viognier, to which is added around 30-40% of Garnacha Blanca. This is quite an innovation for the Priorat, an area renowned for its reds. The grapes come from vines averaging 11-14 years old, and after pressing, they are fermented in a 1,000-litre stainless steel tank, with maceration on the skins. Ageing occurs in second year, 500-litre French oak barrels for part of the wine produced, while the rest remains in tank. Good potential for ageing in bottle over 3-5 years.
