After Acústic Celler in Montsant and Ritme Celler in Priorat, Albert Jané originally of Celler Jané Ventura in Penedès surprises once again with his latest and recent personal project, this time he is back to his origins and delight us with two white wines and two red wines 100% from autochthones varieties of which he is a strong believer.
Autòcton Negre 2015 is the first vintage of a red wine made from the autochthones old vines at the Finca Mas Vilella, an old traditional Catalan winery from the XVI century in the Baix Penedés and the Alt Camp in the province of Tarragona, vines overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from the hills of the majestic Sierra del Montmell.
Historic native indigenous varieties from very old vines growing close to the Masia on very poor soils, clay and calcareous, at an altitude of 300 and 500 meters. Manually harvested and aged for 10 months in large French oak barrels of 300 and 400 liters. Bottled in January 2017.
