    UPDATE: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 8:30 a.m.
We are pleased to announce that Wi-Fi service has been restored to the Asheville Center. Current students, faculty, and staff may now access the building for study, work or other necessary activities. Please note there may be occasional short outages as our service provider continues the recovery process.

Drinking water is not available in the building. Some bottled water is available on site, but we encourage anyone using the building to bring their own drinking water if possible. The bathrooms on site now have working toilets.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene. Please stay tuned for further updates.

The class of 1974, celebrating their 50th reunion, led the way with an impressive fundraising total of $1,164,585. This remarkable achievement was fueled by a strong participation rate of 19.14%. Notable gifts include a naming gift for the Clemmer-Long Center for Vocation and Purpose made by the Rev. Palmer Clemmer '74, M.Div. '78, and Cynthia Long Clemmer '73. In addition, the class is raising money for the 10-foot bear statue that welcomes campus visits at the entrance to the quad.

Marking their 40th reunion, the class of 1984 raised $25,099.02 with a participation rate of 18.85%. The class of 1999, celebrating their 25th reunion, contributed $16,825, with a participation rate of 12.10%.

“The generosity of our reunion classes during homecoming weekend 2024 was truly inspiring,” said Mary Ellen Sherrill ’10, director of alumni and donor engagement. “Their collective support will have a lasting impact on Lenoir-Rhyne. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication to our alma mater.”

While homecoming weekend has concluded, the fundraising efforts of these reunion classes are ongoing. All reunion classes are encouraged to continue making gifts, and all donations to any designation will be counted toward the university’s fundraising goals until May 31, 2025.

The university extends its sincere gratitude to all reunion classes for their generous support and dedication to their alma mater.
