Mathematics for Scientific Computing Minor

Our program uses the power of algorithmic thinking to help you design and develop scientific computing.

Math plays a central role in virtually every area of computer science. Our minor helps you develop the strong background you need.

Critical-thinking, problem solving, analysis and reasoning are abstract skills necessary when developing complex computer programming. Our minor in Mathematics for Computer Science will help you hone these skills. You will understand data sets, differential equations, programming languages, and more. Furthermore, our curriculum includes several calculus courses, allowing you to discover how it is used throughout computer security, graphics and scientific computing.
