Hurricane Helene Recovery Assistance


Donate Needed Items at LR Home Games
LR athletics is accepting donations of needed items at home games on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

  • Women's Soccer vs. Anderson - Soccer Field, 5 p.m. 
  • Volleyball vs Wingate - Shuford Arena, 7 p.m.
  • Men's Soccer vs. Anderson - Soccer Field, 7:30 p.m.

As we continue to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, our thoughts are with those whose lives have been impacted by the storm. Many of you have asked about relief efforts and ways we can assist as a campus community. Included below are ways you can contribute both needed items and financial support.

The Catawba County United Way is collecting items and we are joining their efforts. You can leave donations of the following items in the main entrance of Grace Chapel and Shuford Arena or bring items with you to upcoming home athletic games.

Needed Items

  • Bottled Water
  • Personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, feminine hygiene items)
  • First Aid supplies
  • Household cleaning supplies
  • New sleeping bags
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries

Items Not Needed

  • No food or clothing donations
